Eid prep

Ramadan is drawing to a close.  A bittersweet moment.  The holiest month of the year shall soon be behind us as we try to hold on to our deepened faith through out the course of the next year.  At the end of this beautiful month, we celebrate Eid il Fitr with three days of festivities, family, and food.

With Eid fast approaching, the house is decorated and new clothes are assembled.
New recipes dance around in my head of new and traditional cookies to bake.
Gifts are carefully chosen for each recipient and await wrapping.
A special gift from my crafty and bling loving best friend.
Extra du’as (supplications) and prayers are said to take advantage of this opportune time.
An early Eid Mubarak to all of my lovely readers.

In Australia the eid has already begun (we started 1 day earlier). So much celebration!
