Simple Doily Garland

Yes, it really is that easy.  It’s almost silly to have a tutorial but this is me shamelessly increasing my tutorial count.

Ready?

Assemble the supplies:  Ribbon, doilies, and a glue stick.

Fold doily in half over ribbon. Glue. Done.

Repeat until you don’t have any more doilies, no more ribbon, or until you’ve made a garland long enough to span from California to New York.  Realistically, you should consider how long you would like your garland to be and just continue to fold and glue the doilies until you’ve reached the end of your length.  I used one spool of ribbon that was 10 yards long.

Hang and enjoy.

(Oh, how I loath this ceiling and this fan. What’s a renter to do?)

Not bad for a buck fifty.  (Doilies, $1; Ribbon, 50 cents)
The floral garland was purchased from Target on clearance after Easter over 3 years ago.  Want to make your own? Thread fishing line through fake flowers.
