Ramadan Mubarak

Every year we wait for this month with great anticipation. Our chance to redeem ourselves from a year of less than perfect deeds. With high spirits, we hope to achieve a greater level of God consciousness.

From sun up until sun down we abstain from food and drink to focus on bringing ourselves closer to Allah.

So many goals and intentions for this month. Increasing good deeds in hopes they become habits throughout the year. Extra prayers, less internet. More family visits, less isolation. Increased charity, less waste.

It’s only been three days but I’ve already realized where my life needs improvement. As I work towards becoming a better person, I hope that I can also become a better mother and wife.

Ramadan Mubarak to all of my Muslim readers. May Allah answer all of your prayers and du’as. May Allah bring you closer to Him and to your loved ones. May Allah grant you success in this life and the next.

To my non-Muslim readers, I pray that you come to appreciate our differences and similarities. I appreciate you reading or following my blog. I hope that I have been able to debunk any misconceptions you may have had towards Muslim women.

The gates of heaven are open and I can’t help but feel the angels all around.
