Self-discipline

As I was feeding Maysoon in the girls’ room I noticed that it was quiet. Too quiet. It could only mean one thing. I called out to Jenin. No answer. No surprise. I put Maysoon in her crib to go investigate. As I came down the hallway towards the kitchen, Jenin calmly walked out of the kitchen towards the office.

“I’m going to time-out.” {but in Arabic}

Those colorful bits are chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Oh, they were so good until I realized that they had gelatin in them. (It’s against Islam to eat food containing pork or alcohol.) I had them in my purse to return but Jenin got to them first. I actually left them on the floor like that as I called the company to inquire about what type of gelatin they used. I wanted to see if they were worth saving. Nope. Into the trash they went. Next time I’ll read my labels more carefully and keep my purse on the fridge.
